Real Steel is Real Deal.
family movie checked, super-hot Hugh Jackman checked, future setting checked, adrenaline pumping scene checked.
well, I have to say, it was fun watching Hugh Jackman,(Charlie Kenton), a Texas man who was formerly a boxer, retired and decided to replace robots to fight for him in order to make money. The robots are no cheap, cost more than 1000 dollar. One time he was summoned to take his son, Max, who were seperated from him for 11 years old. Max aunt want to adopt him, but the legal authorization belongs to Charlie. charlie was broke that time, and willing to trade his own son to Max aunt's husband, a billionaire, that able to give him money 100.000 dollars. With a few exception that he needed to bring Max for a whole summer as an excuse, and they hid they're transaction.
Max then stayed with Charlie, who lived in a boxer place, with his girlfriend Bailey. He then came with Charlie in his fight with other robots. He accidentally found a robot named Atom when he went with Charlie to find some spare part for robots in an illegal place. The robot was awesome. It may imitate every move and able to memorize it in its memory. It was build as a training robot, to be able to bear many crushes, but not to fight. Charlie and Max then train the robot with boxing moves.
They became popular from town to town, then they are invited to the World Robot Boxing League, a professional league between robots. There they meet the champion, Zeus, the mighty.
After one trial fight between Atom and Twin Cities, Max was mad for his robot is wanted by Zeus owner, Farra and Tak Mashido. He challenged Zeus for Atom in front of media. Then Max and Charlie prepared for the fight.
I have to say the real pumping scene is when it comes to Atom vs Zeus battle. After 3rd round, Atom's voice recognition was broken. Max had an idea that Charlie needs to imitate boxing, because Atom's imitating ability is still working. And it was successful. Atom didn't win though, but he made it until final round and knocked Zeus down few times, where no other robot can.
Nice ending and crowd cheering for encore. Nice to be watched for family and friends. Family, Love, friendship, Working hard, and never give up are the main key points for this movie.
