Derawan island
great island, great plan, great friends. :)
arrived at tarakan airport at 8am.
well, it is a mesmerizing island. on arrival, the beauty of derawan awake me form the nausea I had due to the high tide. our cottage stands infront of the shore!
day 1. Maratua island:
an island that sells the beach and the coral, they save the best for the last!
Maratua also offers cottages like in derawan, but the price here are more expensive.
next island would be Kakaban island, where jelly fish lake situated here.Kakaban itself famous for it's riverbed corals, or as we called it "Palung". the fishes, corals, even the sun greeted their best for us. :). Inside the island, took 5 minutes walking from the shore, there we may found the lake full of stingless jellyfishes.
last island for that day was the Sangalaki island. this island sells the beauty of the beach and it's manta. Manta swims as pack, so we may found them that day, swam beside us.
day 2. samama island to see the beautiful corals. the island is surrounded by the corals, miles and miles ahead. c'est bon!
back to derawan, have a great time with the turtles, and the fishes. that day was closed by the beautiful sunset.
